Description:
The Beers of the British Isles:
U.S. microbreweries can thank Great Britain for much of their inspiration, as the United Kingdom is the only country in the world that still produces substantial varieties and quantities of ales. In this entertaining course, students learn the intricacies of pale ales, stouts, porters, and many other styles of British ales.

Held at the Brickskeller Saloon, each class includes a lecture and a guided tasting of approximately six beers.

Cask-Conditioned Ale:
Britain is unique in its adherence to cask-conditioned ales, which are naturally carbonated and served from the container in which they are fermented, without the aid of carbon dioxide. Ray Daniels.
