Description: The first-ever D.C. St. Patrick's Day Beer Fest is scheduled to take place Saturday, March 18, 2000 at the District of Columbia National Guard Armory at RFK Stadium. Organized by The Mid-Atlantic Association of Craft Brewers (MACB), the new tasting event is designed to provide area beer lovers with a fun and festive way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day by combining microbrews and imported beers, a variety of foods, fun exhibits and lively entertainment. The festival will showcase more than 100 beers from the region's top breweries, as well as additional guest beers from across the country and around the globe. Admission is $10 and includes a commemorative tasting mug, five beer samples and live entertainment. Additional four ounce beer samples are $1. Festival hours are from 1 to 10 p.m. The Armory is located on Metro's Orange and Blue lines at the RFK Stadium/Armory station.
